Courseware
Courseware Definition: Concepts and materials designed to structure training delivery and to facilitate learning.
The picture above shows the "Tinson Menu", named after the Commander who first requested a menu-based course list. IPC has a history of packaging content and harnessing simulation capabilities to provide a repeatable set of course options.
Courseware is the foundation of training. The IPC team has over thirty years of experience developing impactful courseware across a variety of disciplines. Using subject matter experts for content and training specialists for design, IPC courseware is built to deliver documented information in an engaging format.
IPC has developed the specialty for constructing courseware for simulators and synthetic systems. While these systems are highly efficient, there is often a gap in their effectiveness. Applying purpose-built courseware to these simulation/synthetic technologies raises the level of effectiveness. The structured nature of the courseware enables the training cadre to join the use of these technologies with familiar training settings. IPC owns a library of course titles spanning subject areas from professional development to law enforcement and military training.

Content
Content Definition: the subject matter, training concepts, text, images, videos, relevant topics, and any other media contained within a course or to facilitate training.
The development of appropriate content is often overlooked, and replaced by eye-catching add-on features. IPC personnel have experience developing and implementing content that supports program objectives and holds the attention of participants. Developing purpose-built content is extremely valuable. This may seem obvious, yet the majority of technology-based acquisitions accept the stock content available for use in the system. IPC highly recommends that content (and courseware) be purpose-built to facilitate successful training outcomes.
The development of content, along with input from the training cadre, command, researchers, or other stakeholders, significantly reduces the development lifecycle time and costs. This ultimately leads to highly effective testing and training content, delivered via highly efficient machines. This combination has a force-multiplying effect, where fewer training cadre can train larger groups in more skill sets, while simultaneously reducing overall costs.

Courseware and Content Example
Example: "The Standard for Concealed Carry" by Rustic Ridge Ludus. The following images are sample course slides integrated into simulation systems. Each lesson contains written instructions, classroom slides, integrated activities for the simulator, initial and final assessments, and printed scorecards. The overall course is comprised of a 90+ page book, over 75 slides, and at least 70 videos, providing a comprehensive instruction package designed for advanced individuals committed to ongoing practice.
